Miss Teen United States 2009

Hi Everyone –

The United States pageant has been one of the greatest experiences I have ever had! My family and I had a wonderful time in Las Vegas, and I made a few best friends that I still keep in touch with and will always treasure.

As Miss Teen United States I have had numerous extraordinary opportunities happen for me all of the time. Whether it’s been through traveling to different states volunteering, modeling, the ability to speak in schools around my state, I've met a lot of famous stars such as Demi Lovato, David Archuleta, Robert Sherman, and Sherri Hill, just to name a few.

I have had many people sponsor me for my travels - either through clothing, make-up or photo shoots. And best of all I get to promote my platform anywhere I go! I have volunteered for the NHC Nursing Home performing a piano concert, the Golden Harvest Food Bank, and Aiken Chili Cook-off. I visited the Augusta Burn Unit patients, the Veterans Hospital, Fort Gordan Troops, I’ve served at the Ministry for the Homeless, participated at the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce convention, made an appearance for the Anthony Esposito show, the Augusta State Fair and for Demi Lovato twice. I modeled for Sherri Hill in NYC and have been speaking to middle school girls on having a positive self-esteem and keeping values.

This January, I will be participating in an event that will help promote my personal platform to help stop human trafficking. This title has been my ticketing, and opportunity, to experience new things, grow, network, and spread blessings to those around me.

I’ll take this opportunity to wish you all a joyous holiday season ~
